This photo celebrating the US Supreme Court’s decision legalizing same-sex marriage was our second most popular post (after the super blood moon) on Facebook and Twitter this year.
This interactive rephotographic series posted to our blog in December explored Chico State’s past in comparison to the present using archive photos from Meriam Library. It quickly became the most-viewed post of the year and has currently been seen by more than 5,000 people.

#DearMe: Chico State’s Class of 2015 Reflects
We asked 2015 graduates what advice they could give their freshman self. The reflections were a mix of silly (“Naps,” declares one senior), practical (“Go to class, ALL THE TIME”), and inspiring (“Don’t let others kill your spark for life and for adventure.”)

In August, our incoming freshman and transfer students posed for their traditional big “C” class photo, a big hit on Instagram.
Artist and alum John Pugh returned in October to reinstall his iconic 1981 mural, Academe, on the east wall of the new Arts and Humanities Building. See photos of the re-installation here.

The Gus Manolis Bridge reopened on November 16 with a ceremonial stroll across Big Chico Creek led by Chico State President Paul Zingg and members of the Manolis family. See a full gallery of photos here.
