Awards and Activities

Carol Huston, Chico State alumna, Professor Emerita, and former Director of the School of Nursing, received the 2020–21 Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Iowa College of Nursing.

In its 2020 Nursing School Rankings, Nursing Schools Almanac listed Chico State’s School of Nursing at No. 29 in the state and No. 59 in the West Region. Nursing Schools Almanac collected data on more than 3,000 institutions, and just 20 percent made the list of best nursing schools in each geographic region.

Chico State was recognized in the 2020 California University and College Ballot Bowl as the campus with the largest percentage of its student body registered in the CSU system.
