We are saddened to report that sophomore Hana Owen, a psychology major, passed away December 27. She was 21.

Born September 6, 1998, Owen came to Chico State from Livermore. Following in the footsteps of her parents, both of whom are Chico State alumni, she enrolled at the University in fall 2016. She is fondly remembered by her faculty, classmates, and others within her major.

“She was a valued member of our department, our community, and we will miss her presence,” said Department Chair Linda Kline. “Our thoughts are with her family and friends.”
