Daniel Caravez is a first-generation college student who was born in Mexico and arrived in the United States when he was seven years old. While he didn’t know a word of English, he found a passion and a common language in mathematics. Today, Caravez is a triple major (mathematics education, Spanish education, and Latin American studies) who hopes to use his experiences to teach math to North State students.
