Chico State to Celebrate Class of 2024 at 134th Commencement

More than 2,800 undergraduate students and nearly 400 graduate students will cross the stage to receive their degrees during Chico State’s 134th Commencement. Taking place from Wednesday, May 15, through Sunday, May 19, six distinct ceremonies will be held at University Stadium. Gates will open one hour prior to the event start time, and seating is first-come, first-served.  

Tickets are required for entry to all ceremonies. In addition, guests will be required to go through a security screening. Signs, flags, and banners that obstruct sightlines are not permitted.  

The schedule and graduate speakers are as follows: 

  • Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m.: Graduate Studies, Fernando Infante (Public Administration) 
  • Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m.: College of Communication and Education, Sophia Aujero (Media Arts) 
  • Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m.: College of Agriculture and College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management, Aubrey Teckam (Plant and Soil Science) 
  • Saturday, May 18 at 9 a.m.: College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (Ceremony 1), Belle Custodio, (Anthropology)  
  • Saturday, May 18 at 7 p.m.: College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (Ceremony 2) and College of Business, Carter Lindstrom (Business Administration) 
  • Sunday, May 19 at 9 a.m.: College of Humanities and Fine Arts and College of Natural Sciences, Jonah Hostetter-Lewis (Nursing) 

To accommodate everyone who wishes to watch Commencement live, each ceremony will be streamed on the University website, where a live-captioned version will also be available.

Wednesday, May 15 

Veteran Graduation Celebration, PAC 144, 6 p.m. 

Thursday, May 16 

International Student Graduation and Bon Voyage Celebration, SSC 440, 4 p.m. 

Friday, May 17 

Nurses Pinning Ceremony, BMU Auditorium, 1 p.m. 

Lavender Graduation Celebration, PAC 144 and PAC Courtyard, 3 p.m. 

Saturday, May 18 

Latinx Graduation Celebration I, Laxson Auditorium, 12:30 p.m. 

Black Graduation Celebration, PAC 144, 2 p.m. 

Latinx Graduation Celebration II, Laxson Auditorium, 3 p.m. 

Sunday, May 19 

Project Rebound Graduation, Selvesters 100, 1 p.m.
