#ChicoLove is in the air!

Each year around Valentine’s Day, we celebrate #ChicoLove Week and ask you to share your Chico love story. Whether a sweetheart, best friend, or passion, we want to hear who or what you fell in love with at Chico State! Here’s just a small collection of the great stories shared this year.

laurelvincent We were introduced by our teacher (Susan Weisinger) in 2011, she had a feeling we would hit it off. We started dating, lived in Korea together after college, got married, and now live in Sacramento. Chico will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart because I’m from there and it’s where I met and fell in love with my wife #ChicoLove ❤ Shout out to Susan, best teacher and matchmaker!

 

#ChicoLove I met my Chico Love, @chicopratts, in Ayers Hall in Organic Chemistry,1991. Married in '95 and still going.

briepeters We lived on the same floor of Lassen Hall but didn’t get to know each other until the first week of our second semester in 2003. Our first date (which also happened to be Valentine’s Day) was at Tres Hombres. We were mostly together during our amazing college experiences, moved back home to the Bay Area, got married in 2009 and have three kids now (4 year old, 2 year old and a 7 month old). We have so much love for Chico and are so thankful for our experiences there as well as our love story. ❤ #ChicoLove

Kenta and I met on the third floor of Tehema in our Public Affairs Reporting class in 2016. We didn't start dating until the following semester when we were both editors at @theorion_news.
