Born September 6, 1998, Owen came to Chico State from Livermore. Following in the footsteps of her parents, both of whom are Chico State alumni, she enrolled at the University in fall 2016. She is fondly remembered by her faculty, classmates, and others within her major.
“She was a valued member of our department, our community, and we will miss her presence,” said Department Chair Linda Kline. “Our thoughts are with her family and friends.”
Hana is survived by her parents, Sara and Eric Owen, and younger brother Daniel. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 17, at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 3885 East Avenue in Livermore, at 10 a.m.
The University flag will be lowered on Thursday, January 9 in her memory.
