Publications, Presentations, and Exhibits

Rachel Middleman (Department of Art and Art History) has helped organize the works of Anita Steckel in the art exhibit, “Anita Steckel: The Feminist Art of Sexual Politics,” which is showing at the Stanford Art Gallery.

Xinyu Wei (Department of Business Information Systems) co-authored an article titled, “Consumer Behavioral Intention of Adopting Emerging Healthcare Technology,” that appeared on the website IEEE Xplore. The article explores the current state of gene therapy in medicine.

Awards and Activities

Men’s basketball player Kevin Warren earned the CoSIDA Academic All-District honor, presented to just five men’s basketball players from the West Region and 45 in the nation. Warren graduated with a degree in broadcasting in 2021 and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in communication studies.

Two dozen Chico State student-athletes from our volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s cross country teams were selected to the California Collegiate Athletic Association’s (CCAA) Fall Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for the CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be of at least sophomore standing, own a 3.3 cumulative grade-point-average or better, and have been a member of a conference-sponsored fall sport.

After twirling consecutive shutouts, senior starting pitcher Brooke Larsen was named the CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week. In earning her second straight Pitcher of the Week honors, Larsen blanked nationally ranked Cal State Monterey Bay in a series February 18-19.

Senior forward Malik Duffy was named the CCAA Player of the Week as the men’s basketball team won a pair of conference games. Duffy averaged 22 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of assists for the Wildcats.
