Publications, Presentations and Exhibits

Sarah Pike, Department of Comparative Religion and Humanities, authored the article, “Climate strikes as rites of mourning the future.” The piece appears on the website, The Immanent Frame.

Greg Cootsona, Department of Comparative Religion and Humanities, penned the book, “Negotiating Science and Religion in America: Past, Present, and Future.” The book explores the complicated relationship of science and religion in US history.

Awards and Activities

Senior men’s golfer Nicholas Caputo was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Golfer of the Week. Caputo placed second in the Bay Area Invitational after posting a final-round 67.

Freshman Alani Nguyen was named the CCAA Softball Player of the Week. During a series at Humboldt State, Nguyen had six hits, and two home runs among her four extra-base hits, and drove in four.

Junior baseball player Willie Lajoie was named the CCAA Baseball Player of the Week. Lajoie recorded four consecutive two-hit games during a weekend road series against Cal State Monterey Bay.

The website Grad Reports placed Chico State at No. 16 in its list of “25 Best Colleges for Civil Engineering.”
