Worth Sharing: Postseason Accolades Roll In For Student-Athletes

Awards and Activities

Pitching standout Brooke Larsen was named to the Second Team All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Larsen completed her senior season with a 19-6 record and led all conference pitchers in earned run average (1.34), shutouts (11), complete games (23), strikeouts (239), and opponent batting average (.186).

Four baseball players received Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-West Region accolades. Willie Lajoie was a First-Team selection, buoyed by his massive season at the plate, including being ranked among the conference’s top four in batting average (.399), slugging percentage (.596), on-base percentage (.491), OPS (1.087), and runs batted in (56). Teammates Jeffrey Ray (batting .321 with 64 runs scored), Kyle Dobson (.417 batting average), and Grady Morgan (.389 batting average with 74 hits) were named to the Second Team.

Men’s golfer Chris Colla was named to the PING All-West Region squad, one of just 12 golfers to receive the honor. Colla also received First-Team All-CCAA honors and won the Sierra Central Wildcat Classic early in the season.
