Publications, Presentations, and Exhibits

Professor Emeritus of Communication Arts and Studies Steven Brydon authored a new book titled, “American Propaganda from the Spanish-American War to Iraq: War Stories.” In the book, Brydon explores the ways that recent wars have been fueled not only by weapons, but also by propaganda.

Awards and Activities

Chico State Athletics captured the Robert J. Hiegert Commissioner’s Cup for finishing the 2021–22 academic year as the California Collegiate Athletic Association’s (CCAA) highest-performing department—the sixth time in the last 10 years.

Following a season in which he broke the school record in the pole vault twice and placed third at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Cristian Brady was honored as the CCAA’s Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
