The following is a listing of professional achievements by Chico State faculty, staff, and students. Submit your professional achievements to ucomm@csuchico.edu.

Awards and Activities

The Dairyville Community Club awarded financial scholarships to trio of students for the 2021–22 academic year. Agricultural business major Hank Christensen received the Lower Division Scholarship, agricultural science and education major Stephanie Mills and graduate student Kari Dodd (agricultural education) both received Upper Division Agricultural Scholarships.

The Tehama County Farm Bureau awarded scholarships for the 2021–22 academic year. Recipients include Mills, Dodd, Christensen, and agriculture education major Hannah Endres.

Linzie Goodsell, an agriculture student at Chico State, was awarded an agricultural scholarship from the Friends of the Dixon May Fair.

The Directors of the Friends of the Solana Beach Library awarded journalism and public relations major Bailey Garcia a scholarship for the 2021–22 academic year.

Incoming transfer student and English major Aija Saunders received the Eastern Sierra Foundation’s Transfer Scholarship.

Publications, Presentations, and Exhibits

Faculty Emeritus Stephen Metzger (Department of English) published a novel titled, “Between Rock and Hard Places: A Mike McMahon Mystery.”
