Awards and Activities
Men’s golfer Nicholas Caputo was named to the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District At-Large Team for 2020–21. Caputo is one of just 14 NCAA Division II student-athletes in the West Region—and one of seven golfers—to be recognized on the list.
Men’s cross country and track athlete Wyatt Baxter received the California Collegiate Athletic Association Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award.
The website Bachelor’s Degree Central ranked Chico State at No. 10 on its list of “25 Best Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration Degree Programs for 2021.”
Publications, Presentations, and Exhibits
Lisa Ott (Department of Biological Sciences) co-authored an article in the ABCs of Education and Professional Development of Analytic Science titled, “Promoting student interaction, engagement, and success in an online environment.” Ott addressed barriers to student attendance by having both asynchronous and synchronous class periods each week.
