Worth Sharing: Brown Earns National Honors

Awards and Activities

Buoyed by four goals and an assist last week, Chico State men’s soccer player Kristopher Brown was named the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II College Player of the Week. The sophomore forward scored all three goals in a 3-0 win over Dominican University and tallied another goal and an assist in the Wildcats’ 3-1 win against Holy Names.

Mackenzie Gill played in a role of each goal in Chico State’s 2-2 draw versus Azusa Pacific, a feat that earned her the California Collegiate Athletic Association’s Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. The senior scored a goal and dealt an assist in the home match last week.

Best Value Schools named Chico State No. 3 in its rankings of the 30 Best Sustainable Agriculture Degree Programs in 2022. Within its College of Agriculture, the University boasts programs include Agricultural Business, Plant and Soil Science, and Animal Science, as well as the University Farm and the Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems.
