Awards, Honors, and Activities

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) included Chico State on its list of 2023–24 Top 200 Colleges for Indigenous Students. Published in Winds of Change magazine, Chico State was one of 13 CSU campuses to make the list.

Daniel Hernandez outpaced 173 other runners to win the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Invitational—he was rewarded with the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Hernandez led the Wildcat harriers to the team win.

After a strong showing last week, Chico State’s Tyler Ashman was recognized with the CCAA Men’s Golfer of the Week award. At the Western Washington University Men’s Invitational, Ashman shot an overall field-best 4-under par, capped by a career and tournament-best 67 in the final round.
