Worth Sharing: CCAA Honors Men’s Golf Team

Awards and Activities

Junior Cody Wissler was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Baseball Player of the Week after helping guide the Chico State baseball team to a weekend sweep of Sonoma State and going 9-for-10 at the plate in the series.

The Chico State softball team saw six players named to the CCAA’s all-conference team. Pitcher Brooke Larsen, shortstop Kristin Worley, and designated hitter Amanda Flores were all named First Team All-CCAA, and second baseman Wendy Cardinali, third baseman Bailey Atkins, and first baseman Reilani Peleti earned Second Team All-CCAA honors. Larsen was also named the CCAA’s Most Valuable Pitcher and the conference’s Newcomer of the Year

Senior men’s golfer Kelley Sullivan was named the CCAA Men’s Golf Player of the Year, and men’s golf coach Nick Green was named the CCAA Men’s Golf Coach of the Year. Additionally, Sullivan and Josh McCollum were picked for First Team All-CCAA, and Serge Kiriluk and Jordan Oliver were selected for honorable mention All-CCAA.
