Jim Downing, Department of Management, authored an article titled, “Dimensions of Competitive Advantage,” in Journal of New Business Ideas & Trends.

Awards and Activities

Chico State Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) students attended an invitation-only leadership conference earlier this month at the national Student Leadership Conference in Los Angeles. This industry-sponsored event allowed MESA students to network with STEM professionals and gain valuable career prep skills.

Chico State was ranked No. 2 in CollegeNET’s 2018 Social Mobility Index, a listing of national higher education institutions that provided their students with the best opportunity to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Chico State was named one of Princeton Review’s 399 Green Colleges.

The College of Business’s Center for Entrepreneurship was named a 2018 Top 5 Program for Exceptional Activities in Entrepreneurship Across Disciplines by the Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Centers.

The College of Business’s National Sales Team (with the Seufferlein Sales Program) placed third at the AT&T National Sales Competition.
