Awards and Activities

Robert Madrigal (Department of Finance and Marketing) has been awarded the Distinguished Career Contributions to the Scientific Understanding of Sport Business Award, one of the highest honors bestowed by the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Sport and Sponsorship Linked Marketing Special Interest Group (SportSIG).

Chico State was named as one of the nation’s top 200 colleges for indigenous students by Winds of Change magazine.

Kelly Sullivan was named the 2018-19 California Collegiate Athletic Association’s (CCAA) Men’s Golfer of the Year, and head coach Nick Green earned CCAA Coach of the Year honors. Sullivan and Josh McCollum were named to the 2018-19 All-CCAA First Team.

Senior designated hitter Alex DeVito was named to the 2019 College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Team.
