Publications, Presentations and Exhibits

Sheri Simons, Art and History Department, has one of her art pieces in “Contraption: Rediscovering California Jewish Artists,” a group show that presents the work of 16 California-identified artists of Jewish descent—both historical and living—whose work refers to the machine either literally or metaphorically. Gayle Kimball, Professor Emerita Sociology Department, published “How Global Youth Values Will Transform Our Future.” The book explores the values and religious beliefs of Generations Y and Z, representing over 4,000 young people from 88 countries. The book, based on their own voices rather than adult projections from multiple-choice surveys, also includes futurists’ projections of significant trends. Read more here. Awards and Activities

Dr. Roy Crosbie, Professor Emeritus Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, was inducted by the Society for Modeling and Simulation International into its Hall of Fame. The Society is the leading international professional society devoted to the advancement of modeling and computer simulation. A total of 13 inductees has been recognized since the creation of the Hall of Fame in 2002. Read more here.
