Worth Sharing: Human Identification Lab Wins Community Engaged Scholars Award

Awards and Activities

Brian Brazeal (Department of Anthropology), a 2019 Lantis Endowed University Chair, will use the award to bring student cinematographers to Thailand and Sri Lanka to film documentary footage of the international trade of rubies and sapphires.

The Department of Anthropology’s Human Identification Lab received this year’s Chico State Civic Engagement’s Community Engaged Scholars Award in March.

The Anthropology Graduate Student Association received two Student Organization and Leadership Education (SOLE) awards in April. Anthropology student Sam Mijal received the Rick Rees “Unsung Hero” Award, and the ASGA’s 15th annual Chico Forensic Conference received the Event/Program of the Year Award.
