Publications, Presentations and Exhibits

Mark Morlock, emeritus faculty in the Department of Economics, had his short story, “The Flowers in the Field,” published in the spring 2017 edition of The Examined Life Journal. Also, his novel, “The Secret Watcher of Summit Avenue” was selected as an Indie Novel of the Year 2017 by Kirkus Reviews.

Awards and Activities

Cathy Burton, master’s graduate from the Department of Anthropology, was named to The Great American Songbook Foundation’s History Leadership Institute’s Class of 2018. Burton is the lead researcher and planner for the proposed development of a Great American Songbook Hall of Fame Museum, celebrating the nation’s timeless popular music.
