Publications, Presentations and Exhibits

Joel Minden (Department of Psychology) penned a newly published book titled, “Show Your Anxiety Who’s Boss.” His book was published on March 1.

Awards and Activities

The Chico State Speech and Debate Team hosted the Northern California Forensics Association for its Spring Championships. Chico State won the First Place Team Sweepstakes in the Open University Division, buoyed by individual first-place finishes. University award winners included Brina Covarrubias, sixth place in Open Impromptu; Kikuye Fujii, fifth place in Novice Persuasive; Alexa Mas Ciccozzi, first place in Novice Parliamentary Debate; Nadine Salas, quarterfinalist in Novice Parliamentary Debate; Kristina Sanville, second place in Novice Persuasive; Mati Reynolds, first place in Novice Informative; Juan Diaz-Flores, fourth place in Novice Informative; Giovanni Fernandez, first place in Open Programmed Oral Interpretation, first place in Open Prose, fifth place in Open Extemporaneous; Kaitlin Foster, third place in Novice Prose Interpretation; Jasmine Johnstone, first place in Novice Programmed Oral Interpretation, third place in Novice Impromptu; Kevin Keyawa, first place in Novice Impromptu, first place in Novice After Dinner Speaking; Connie Quintana, fourth place in Novice Extemporaneous, fifth place in Novice Impromptu; Carl Weddle, fourth place in Novice Impromptu, quarterfinalist in Novice Parliamentary Debate.
