Worth Sharing: Student-Athletes Honored for Work in the Classroom

The following is a listing of professional achievements by Chico State faculty, staff, and students. Submit your professional achievements to ucomm@csuchico.edu.

Awards and Activities

Seven Chico State basketball players were named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Winter All-Academic team. On the women’s side, Maddy Wong, Vanessa Holland, Mikaela Bismillah, Haley Ison, and Mikaila Wegenke were named to the squad, while Joshua Curls and Colby Orr from the men’s team received the honors.

A trio of Wildcat women golfers were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s 2019–20 All-American Scholar Team. Natalie Kinney, Kelsey Blaylock, and Taylor Stewart were among the golfers selected, which required a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5.
